I went to a friend’s birthday party 12 weeks ago and when I saw photos of myself from that night being the heaviest I have ever been. I was shocked and that was my rock bottom and I realised I needed to make big changes in order to get healthy and be happy. I have realised this before but never had the willpower or been in the right headspace to try.

My name is Alisa and I am a 38-year-old Mum of 2 kids and I live in Wollongong NSW. I have been using the lady shake rapid weight loss program for 11 weeks and I have lost a total of 16.8kgs so far.
I have plantar fasciitis and heel spurs in both of my feet. This has definitely been my biggest roadblock. The pain caused by this condition prevented me from exercising, which in turn made me depressed and when I’m depressed I eat! Hence my weight gain.
I decided to get medical help to treat my feet and I still do have some pain but I am managing it well enough so I can exercise. Really good running shoes (HOKAS) have helped tremendously also.
I have tried eating healthy and crash diets before but nothing has worked until The Lady Shake!
My husband saw a podcast about The Man Shake and he said to me that he wanted to try it and asked if id like to do it with him. So right then and there we went online and purchased both the lady shake and man shake.
Because we started it together and both had similar goals, we have been a huge support system for each other and have both had amazing results so far. My hubby has lost 25kgs in the same time frame.
If you have someone to do the program with it makes it so much easier as there are fewer temptations with foods as you are both eating the same healthy foods together.
Since losing weight, my energy levels have increased dramatically. I used to work in the morning and then come home and sit on the couch. Now I go to work and then go for a 6-8km walk 5 days a week. I am also sleeping so much better!
I never thought I’d look forward to exercising but now I do!
I have 1 treat meal a week with Hubby which also includes 2 or 3 alcoholic beverages which I really enjoy and that meal is all I need before going straight back to healthy eating. I do try to make my treat meal as healthy as possible so I can enjoy a few drinks without any guilt.
If you are reading this and thinking that maybe you could do it, my advice is to just jump in and do it NOW. Don’t wait until Monday or next week. Do it now while you are motivated to try. Once the scales start to shift you will be so pumped to keep going!
I had some weeks where I only lost 500 grams and i thought about giving up but my hubby pushed me to keep going and then the next week I’d have a bigger loss and be back in a positive headspace. I never thought I’d be choosing to run upstairs as a part of my workout!
The Lady Shake program is not an easy thing to do, but if you stick to it you will get epic results just like I have.
It is extremely rewarding, not only for physical health but also for mental health which in turn has made me a better Mum.
