How To Lose Weight Alone

We find that one of the most helpful ways to stay on track with your weight loss journey is to have someone else do it with you! Primarily because you’ve got someone to hold you accountable and keep you motivated, but this isn’t possible for everyone.
If you want to start losing weight and you don’t have anyone in your life to join you, your goals can still be achieved. Support is important, but friends and family don’t have to be on a weight loss journey to be there for you.
Communicate Your Goals
The very first step is to let the everyone in the house know that you’re starting a weight loss journey! Even if they aren’t joining you, they can still hold you accountable. Share your goals with roommates or family — just because they aren’t actively trying to lose weight themselves, they can still support your journey by respecting your food choices, celebrating your milestones and encouraging you to stay on track.
Focus On Your Own Plate
If you live with others, it can be hard to watch on as they eat not-so-weight-loss-friendly meals while you’re stuck with foods to support your journey. So if possible, only cook for yourself! If you’re just making food for yourself, you’ll be saving time and limiting inevitable temptations.
Another tip is to eat by yourself even if you’ve got a full household. It’s all well and good to take a bite of someone else’s meal but do it enough and it can derail your progress! One of the best and easiest ways for you to manage this is to meal prep, there are so many benefits of planning meals ahead of time, and we highly recommend it to anyone starting a weight loss journey.
