If you’ve reached a weight loss milestone it’s important you reward yourself! Rewards can keep your motivation up and it’s always nice to have something to look forward to. When we’re on a weight loss journey it’s easy to want to treat ourselves with food and indulge in a cheat meal, but doing this too often will halt your progress, so here are some ideas for non-food related rewards.
Go Gold
If you enjoy catching a movie here and there, upgrade your tickets to gold class! Compared to a normal theatre you'll have the luxury of a larger and more comfortable seat, a bigger screen and likely fewer people around you.
Buy New Makeup
If you love makeup, go and treat yourself to a new lipstick or eye shadow palette. Buy something you’ve always wanted and would use frequently. Every time you use it you’ll be reminded of all your hard work.
Get Your Hair Done
You’ve been super busy looking after your health, so why not give yourself even more of a confidence boost by treating yourself to a new hairdo. You could get it cut, coloured or styled in any way that’ll make you feel beautiful and confident.
Buy A New Book
Purchase that book you’ve always wanted! Reading is great for keeping your mind stimulated and to relax and unwind. Visit your favourite bookstore to browse around or order your dream book online.
Get A Manicure
Having pretty, painted nails can be a confidence boost. It allows you to add some self-expression to your appearance and a touch of glamour.
Get A Massage
Go and get a massage! Or really indulge and treat yourself to a spa day. After all, if you’ve been working out on your weight loss journey, your muscles could probably benefit from a massage.
You deserve to treat yourself during your journey. It doesn’t have to be one big reward at the end. Celebrate your progress!
