Time To Unwind!

Are your stress levels out of control?

When we stress, we produce cortisone which, unfortunately, makes us put on fat and definitely increases our wrinkles!!!

So, time to unwind – but, as we all know, it’s easier said than done. Here are 5 easy tips to get your zen back!

1. Breathe

Sounds simple, I know, but do you sometimes feel like you’re breathing through a bent popper straw? If you’re feeling stressed, just take a minute and a few deep inhales/exhales can be just the reset you need.

2. Sweat It Out

A little exercise, even just a quick walk, can boost your feel-good endorphins and change your mood.

3. Unplug

This is my favourite one. We don’t realise the amount of stress that phones, and in particular social media, can add to our lives.
Make time to unplug when you can. Less noise, and more focus on you and your family.

4. Be Present

This can be difficult, but it’s important to live in the moment and not letting the mind wander. When my mind does start to wander away and I start getting stressed, I think two things:
1. Is there anything I can actually do about this problem now? If so, go do it. If not, let it go, because there is no point in stressing about something I can’t control.
2. Will I remember this a year from now? No? Then why am I thinking about it now? Life’s so short, let’s not waste it thinking about things that might or might not happen and sweating the small stuff!



5. Watch A Funny Movie

There is nothing better than a great laugh to distract you of the world problems!
