Thanks, Lady Shaker Jane for this recipe!
Ingredients
- 1kg x beef chuck steak
- 1 x large brown onion
- 2 x carrots
- Mixed herbs
- 2 x teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 x tin of crushed tomatoes
- 2 x cubes of beef stock
- 1 x tablespoon of plain flour
Method
- Prepare your ingredients by dicing your beef chuck steak, slicing your brown onion, chopping your carrots and boiling 1 cup of water for your beef stock cube to dissolve into.
- Into your slow cooker, add all of your prepared ingredients, including your beef stock liquid. Stir in your crushed tomatoes, and if necessary 1 cup of water.
- Add your plain flour, along with your Worcestershire sauce and herbs. Mix well. It should be a thick saucy consistency.
- Turn your slow cooker onto low heat, and leave for 6-8 hours – if possible, stirring every hour.
- Once everything is cooked and reduced into a stew, serve! Option to add on a bed of rice with a mint leaf for presentation!
