Take to Google and search up ‘walking groups in (your) suburb’ you’re bound to find a few communities that frequently walk together. It's also a great way to meet locals!

Starting A Walking Group

If you decide to begin your very own walking group, ask friends and family and post on social media! Next, you need to choose a location, but don’t feel restricted, it doesn’t have to be the same place for every walk. Ask your walking buddies for suggestions and create a plan to lock everyone in.

ParkRun is completely free, all you need to do is register online before you arrive. It’s a 5km track with over 400 locations nationwide!

 

Walking regularly will benefit your overall health, and walking with others is a great way to strengthen relationships, meet new people and provide yourself with a sense of community and belonging.
