The Next Chapter: Bec’s Inspiring 35kg Weight Loss Update

I feel amazing, on top of the world! After losing almost 35kg, I’m not just a number on the scale. I’m stronger, fitter, and I’m inspiring others to take the leap. You might have read my story before, but I'm back with an update that shows just how far consistency, support, and self-belief can take you. 

I’ve always been active, and back in high school, I was teased for being "too skinny." But after getting married and having two kids, my health slipped down the priority list. When my daughter was diagnosed with a lifelong medical condition, I put everything into helping her thrive and I stopped looking after myself. 



Over the years, the weight crept on. I was tired all the time and everyday life was getting harder. In December 2024, we went on a beautiful family holiday. But when I looked back at the photos, I was devastated. I couldn’t believe how much weight I’d gained. I was 108.5kg, had sleep apnoea, and my BMI was 35.8. 

That’s when I saw an ad for The Lady Shake pop up on Facebook. It felt like the right time. I ordered the New Customer Trial Pack just before New Year’s and got started on January 3rd. 

That first shake was a bit confronting, it was thick and chunky. I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But then I joined The Lady Club on Facebook, saw some great advice, and gave it another go with more water and a silicone straw. Suddenly, it tasted like a Macca’s thick shake! 

With my CPAP machine helping me sleep better, and support from my GP and PT, I started to set small, achievable goals: 5kg, then 10kg, getting under 100kg... and I kept ticking them off. My new final goal was 75kg, and I reached it in October 2025. 

There were challenges along the way. I hit a plateau around the 80kg mark, and there was one weekend where I went off track and gained 2kg. But I reminded myself, this is a marathon, not a sprint. I learned from it and moved forward. 

Now, I train with my PT, and I run 30 minutes at a time. I go to the gym three times a week. My hips, chest, and waist have collectively shrunk by over 60cm. My goal pants are now loose, and even my glasses had to be adjusted because my face changed shape! 

I love my Lady Shakes! My go-to flavours are Choc Chip Cookie Dough, Pina Colada Collagen, and Vanilla with Chocolate Super Greens. I prep everything ahead of time: shakes, snacks, and salads, so I always stay on track.

These days, I feel full of energy and confidence. I walk with a spring in my step and proudly wear clothes I never thought I could. Shopping in regular stores again, fitting into smaller clothes, and ditching anti-chafe shorts, those have been huge wins. 

Best of all, I’ve inspired my husband and friends to join me. My husband’s on The Man Shake now, and we’re both living healthier, happier lives. 

If I could give anyone advice, it’s this: shake off the excuses, trust the process, and show up for yourself. It’s not always easy, but it’s absolutely worth it.
