How one mum lost 60kg, found confidence in the gym, and built a healthy lifestyle she truly loves
When she first started using The Lady Shake, life felt busy and overwhelming. Between work, family, and everyday responsibilities, prioritising her own health often came last. She wanted to feel healthier, happier, and more confident in herself again, but needed something realistic that could fit into real life.

Over the years, she has learned that progress is rarely perfect. There were periods where life became hectic, motivation dropped, and progress slowed down. But one of the biggest mindset shifts came from understanding that setbacks are simply part of the process.
Instead of chasing quick results, she focused on creating sustainable habits and staying consistent over time.
These days, her routine is built around balance. She keeps things simple and realistic by incorporating The Lady Shake into her busy schedule as an easy and nutritious option, especially around work and gym sessions. Her lifestyle now looks completely different to when she first began. She trains regularly at the gym five days a week, does Muay Thai twice a week, and boxing once a week. She says none of this would have felt possible before her weight loss journey.
After losing 60kg and maintaining her results for almost eight months, she feels stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever before.
“It’s not just about weight or appearance anymore,” she shared. “I have more energy, I feel more balanced, and I genuinely feel good within myself.”
One of the biggest changes has been her relationship with food. Rather than seeing food as “good” or “bad,” she now focuses on balance, nourishment, and enjoying life without guilt while still supporting her goals.
For her, real life balance means prioritising her health while still enjoying meals out with family and friends and managing a busy work life. It is about consistency, not restriction.
Her goals have also evolved over time. What started as wanting to lose weight became wanting to feel fitter, healthier, stronger, and more confident overall.
Beyond the scale, some of her proudest moments have come from the confidence she has gained along the way. Walking into the gym confidently, challenging herself physically, and feeling proud of how far she has come have all become major non-scale wins.
Perhaps even more meaningful is the example she is now setting for her children.

She says one of the most beautiful parts of the journey has been seeing her youngest sons wanting to exercise at home to be like their mum. Being active, healthy, and engaged with her family has become one of the greatest rewards of all.
Support also played a huge role throughout her journey. Encouragement from family, friends, and The Lady Shake community helped keep her motivated, especially during the tougher periods. Seeing other women openly share their struggles and successes reminded her she was never alone.
One of her biggest tips for staying on track is keeping a spare Lady Shake shaker, and bottle of water in the car at all times.
“Life gets busy, and being prepared helps stop you from making rushed choices when you’re hungry and on the go,” she explained.
Looking back now, she would tell her Day One self to trust the process and stop expecting overnight results.

Today, she is simply enjoying a healthy, active lifestyle while focusing on maintaining her weight, building muscle, and feeling her absolute best. Most importantly, she has found confidence, balance, and a lifestyle she genuinely loves living.
